When you use Should I Train, we collect:

  • Account information: your email address and name when you sign up.
  • Garmin health data: with your explicit consent, we access your Garmin Connect data including sleep metrics, heart rate variability (HRV), Training Readiness, Body Battery, stress levels, and activity history. We authenticate through Garmin's official OAuth flow — we never store your Garmin password.
  • Conversation history: messages you exchange with your AI coach to provide personalized recommendations.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

  • Provide personalized AI coaching recommendations based on your Garmin metrics.
  • Maintain your coaching history and training context across sessions.
  • Process your subscription payments.
  • Send you service-related communications.

We do not sell, share, or provide your personal or health data to any third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers in the United States and European Union. Garmin authentication tokens are encrypted at rest. All data transmission uses TLS encryption. Access to user data is restricted to the automated AI coaching system.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. When you cancel your subscription, your data is deleted within 30 days. You can request immediate deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about you.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Revoke Garmin data access at any time through your Garmin Connect settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Garmin Connect: to access your health and fitness data (with your consent).
  • Stripe: to process payments securely.
  • Anthropic (Claude): AI model provider for coaching recommendations. Your data is sent to generate responses but is not used to train AI models.
  • Telegram: messaging platform for coach communication.

7. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies for functionality and anonymous analytics via Vercel Analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of any material changes via email.
